One of the main objectives of the Qur’an is to outline the ethics and conduct that are befitting of the believer. Surah al-Hujurat is just that. Beginning with what proper conduct before Allah is, the Surah goes on to tell us of the rank and wisdom of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; how believers should be towards him ﷺ; and the immense blessings of faith, guidance, and obedience. The focus of the Surah then shifts to our conduct with our fellow brothers and sisters.
