This class explores select stories from Kitab al-Tawwabin by Ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdisī, a masterpiece that compiles real-life accounts of individuals who turned back to Allah through the transformative power of repentance. These heartfelt stories demonstrate Allah’s infinite mercy and the resilience of the human spirit, offering timeless lessons on the process of returning to Allah. Through these narratives, students will gain insight into the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of tawbah, inspiring them to strengthen their relationship with their Creator and seek forgiveness sincerely.

This class offers an in-depth look into the final moments of the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, exploring his last days, farewell advice, and the emotions felt by his companions and family. Through a study of authentic narrations, students will gain insights into the Prophet’s ﷺ unwavering dedication to his ummah until his final breath.

The lives of the prophets were not always marked by perfection. Even these most noble people faced profound challenges within their own homes—sometimes their children disbelieved, and at times, their spouses turned away from the truth. These trials serve as lessons for us all, reminding us that righteousness is not measured by the absence of difficulties, but by how we respond to them.

Throughout his life, Ibrahim AS exemplified the courage to advocate for what is right, challenging falsehoods and idolatry in his quest to uphold the oneness of Allah. Sa'di Shirazi, a gem of Persian literature, was not just a poet but a beacon of wisdom, whose works offer deep insights into the essence of humanity. Sa'di's poetry weaves together the elegance of language with the intricacies of life's truths, offering solace and enlightenment to all who delve into his works. In this age, where the world seems more divided than ever, his poetry stands as a testament to the power of words to unite and inspire us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

We hear of love stories within the media, of those who had trial in coming together. What if we told you there was a real life love story within the seerah of the Prophet ﷺ? We will further explore his life, legacy, & brilliance in an attempt to understand how this saint and spiritual master, born of humble beginnings in a village in Balkh, Afghanistan has become America’s favorite poet eight hundred years later and captivated millions of hearts worldwide!

Learning about the lives of the Prophets (AS) is an indefinite aid to our journey in this life as Allah’s ‘Ibad or servants. Out of all the Prophets (AS), the Quran highlights a select few, mentioned as the Ulu al-ʿAzm, known for their firm resolve and steadfastness. The riveting journeys of these select few in staying true to their beliefs and message in the face of trying times gives us solace in a world of tests and trials.

An exclusive release on our Miftaah Portal, Mufti Aasim Rashid, one of the teachers of the Miftaah Scholars, will be doing a series on the virtues of Madina. How did Madina come to be such an influential city? What did it look like prior to the stay of the Prophet SAW? How can learning about this illuminated city brighten up our lives?

Known for being just rulers and noble Prophets, Dawood and Sulaiman AS were granted the ability to rule over the entire world. With control over the wind, understanding of the animals, and the ability to mold iron🛡, these Prophets had power unlike any other! However, their vast wealth and authority did not keep them from acknowledging Allah’s magnificence and obeying His every command. Their stories, defined in the Quran, are filled with hidden gems and powerful lessons for us all.

The Muslim conquest of a land located in lower Central Asia marked the inception of some of the most significant medieval scholars and influencers of Islamic theology and science . Transoxiana, roughly corresponding to modern-day eastern Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and southern Kazakhstan, is a land rich in Islamic history that spawned the pioneers of Hadith collection, Imam Al-Bukhari and Imam Al-Tirmidhi, as well as the father of early modern medicine, Ibn Sina.

Mawlana Jalaluddin Balkhi, or more famously known as Rumi, is one of the most misrepresented individuals in history. His poetry has spread by both the west and east alike. However, the flavour of Rumi that most people have in today’s day and age is quite far from its reality. He wasn’t just a “poet” as some like to assert. He was far more than that. He was an ocean of knowledge whose poetry gave commentary to both the Quran and Prophetic Traditions.

A wealthy merchant amongst the clansmen of Mecca, Al-Abbas played a significant role during the premature days of Islam. We are pleased to have Imam Yousef Wahb join us as he will illuminate the life of a hidden gem within the family of our beloved Prophet SAW and why he was given the title as the Protector of the Prophet SAW. 

While being kind and merciful to our loved ones is normal, it is rare to find individuals who display the utmost compassion and mercy to ones enemies and to those that are vulnerable. Our Prophet SAW was at the flag-bearer of this quality. In this class, we welcome the respected Ustadh Wahaj Tarin from Australia, to teach us about this powerful quality in light of a beautiful story from the Seerah of the Prophet SAW.

As we know in our personal lives, happiness coexists with hardship; it is impossible to avoid trials in the dunya. This was also true of early Muslim leadership, including tragedies that befell our great leaders, Uthman, Ali and al-Husayn RA, may Allah be pleased with them all. Within these trials, there are lessons for the ummah to learn from.

The Proof of Islam, Imam Abu Hamid Al Ghazali, was the mujadid (reviver) of the Fifth Century of Islam. During a time of great epistemological division between different factions within Islam, he found a way to bring many of those ideologies together. His magnum opus, the Revival of the Religious Sciences, is considered to be one of the most important books within Islamic scholarship. His name is quoted frequently, yet many of us do not know his life.
